One of the greatest joys of creating Memory Mud pieces is hearing how they've touched the lives of our customers. Today, we're sharing some of the beautiful stories that have been shared with us—stories of love, loss, celebration, and everything in between.
Sarah from Portland wrote to us about using Stillness No.03 to preserve memories of her grandmother. 'My grandmother passed away last year, and I was struggling with how to honor her memory. I filled my Stillness piece with small items that reminded me of her—a recipe card in her handwriting, a button from her favorite sweater, and a dried flower from her garden. Now, whenever I need to feel close to her, I open the piece and hold these treasures. It's become a sacred ritual that brings me so much comfort.'
Michael and his partner used Stillness No.07 to create a time capsule of their first year together. 'We decided to write each other a letter every month and store them in our Stillness piece. On our first anniversary, we opened it and read all the letters together. It was incredible to see how our relationship had grown, and to remember all the small moments we might have forgotten otherwise.'
Emma, a teacher, uses Stillness No.02 to preserve notes from her students. 'Every year, my students write me letters at the end of the school year. I used to keep them in a box, but they were getting damaged. Now I store them in my Stillness piece, and I love knowing that these precious words are protected.
